Darren Criss - Human EPThursday, April 21, 2011
Right! If you don't already know (or you haven't seen my previous post) Darren Criss is a recurring guest star on Glee, and he's also Harry Potter. That is, in the musicals A Very Potter Musical, and A Very Potter Sequel. He also is a singer-songwriter, and here is his EP. I quite enjoy it. I enjoy it quite a lot, actually. So go forth and download young sirs!
Glee: The Music Presents The WarblersAlright! Our first Glee post (minus my Defying Gravity post). Which is shocking since both London and I have been watching this show since the pilot. It's practically become a religion for me. Not London though, I believe bong hoots are his religion... ANYWAYS! I'm a huge fan of the Warblers, their a cappella arrangements warming my heart. It probably helps that Darren Criss' voice is amazing, and save for 'Blackbird', sung by Chris Colfer, he sings the lead on all the songs. The album came out on Tuesday and it's already burnt a hole through my iTunes. Love it. If you're ridiculous like me, I highly suggest you download it.
London Rush Presents a Mixtape Made in AudacitySunday, October 31, 2010 Check out this mixtape, it is about an hour of new (or new-to-me) music. A healthy helping of pop/house/dupstep/glitch for those of us who like dirty fucking beats. Enjoy: Tracklisting: 1. Martin Solveig ft. Dragonette - Hello 2. Rihanna - Only Girl (In the World) (Extended Club Mix) 3. Jay Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - 2012 (It Ain't the End) (Jump Smokers Extended Remix) 4. Kelly Rowland ft. David Guetta - Commander 5. Swedish House Mafia ft. Pharrell - One (Your Name) (Caspa Vocal Remix) 6. Ke$ha - We R Who We R (Liam Keegan Extended Mix) 7. Crookers ft. will.i.am - Lets Get Beezy 8. Far East Movement ft. Stereotypes - Girl on the Dance Floor 9. Usher ft. Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love 10. David Guetta, Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO - Gettin' Over You 11. Tiesto vs. Diplo - Come On 12. Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Skrillex Remix) Nirvana - Best ofTuesday, February 2, 2010 The best of...how ever else can i put it? The best songs, by Nirvana. Smells Like Teen Spirit Come As You Are Oh, The Guilt Dive Aero Zeppelin Heart Shaped Box Puss In Bloom Silver Frances Farmer Will Have Her Drain You Lithium All Apologies Big Long Now Stay Away Aneurim Rape Me School (live) Floyd The Barber (live) About A Girl (live) Breed Taylor Swift - FearlessMonday, February 1, 2010Like everyone, I really enjoyed this album when it came out. But now, I am really fucking sick of it. It also blows me away that an album released in 2008 can win the Grammy for album of the year in 2010. But hey it's the Grammy's, and they fucking suck. However, You're Not Sorry is still a spectacular song, even if Taylor Swift is so present that it's utterly annoying beyond belief. Also she wrote a song about Joe Jonas, and that is funny. ***EDIT: This album was pulled down by DMCA due to some sort of "offending content". Clearly they find Taylor Swift annoying too. Anyways, if you wish to purchase this album legally, the links below will guide you to it. .
Amanda Palmer - Who Killed Amanda Palmer? This is the debut solo album by Amanda Palmer, the lead singer of The Dresden Dolls. She is fantastic, but I have to admit I haven't really listened to this album. Unleash swears it is fantastic. So yes. .Amanda Palmer - Who Killed Amanda Palmer? [MP3]
Glassjaw - Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About SilenceThis album to me defines passion and rage and violence and the emotional extreme. Also it uses the words 'cunt' and 'whore' more often than I have ever heard on any record. Which is all types of exciting when you have a huge potty mouth. Not to mention that you SHOULD download this record, since the band often tells people to in their live show instead of buying it. Having wrote that, I would like to point out that I bought this album on vinyl, and am having it ordered into me local cd shop. I also keep it on my iPod. That is how much I love it. .Glassjaw - Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence [MP3]
Spring Awakening: A New Musical (Original Broadway Cast)My friend and fellow A:M blogger Pavlov de Goatse has been singing the praises of this musical almost as long as I've known him, but it wasn't until I heard that Lea Michele was the female lead that I got around to hearing it. AND ITS SO GOOD. If you don't know who Lea Michele is, she plays Rachel Berry on Glee, which may or may not be the greatest show evar. May or may not. Also, the music was written by Duncan Sheik, who is best known as the guy who sang that 'Barely Breathing' song. Weird right? Still, it's great. .Spring Awakening: A New Musical (Original Broadway Cast) [MP3]
Funeral: The String Quartet Tribute To My Chemical Romance
So, I have previously expressed my desire to post this album up here, and I am quite stoked that I have now succeeded! GREAT SUCCESS! This entire album is absolutely fantastic, finding another depth of emotion and beauty in My Chemical Romance's music. I highly encourage you to hear this, whether you love My Chemical Romance or if you love string quartet music. .Funeral: The String Quartet Tribute To My Chemical Romance [MP3]
DBSK/TVXQ - The Secret CodeWednesday, January 27, 2010This is a Japanese release by a South Korean boy band. To be honest, I don't know much more than that, as this is a requested album. Enjoy! .DBSK/TVXQ - The Secret Code [MP3]
Asian Kung Fu Generation - Surf Bungaku KamakuraThis is the fifth studio album by a popular j-rock band with an excessively silly name. I haven't listened to this, but it's a very popular band so that's that. :] .Asian Kung Fu Generation - Surf Bungaku Kamakura [MP3]
Super Junior - Sorry, SorryAnother request, of the weird Asian pop music variety! This time we have Super Junior, which is actually the largest boy band in the whole world yo, boasting a whopping 13 members! This is also their best selling album to date, making this one hella popular South Korean boy band! Enjoy, nerdorinos! .Super Junior - Sorry, Sorry [MP3]
BoA - BoALooky here, we have another request! This time it's the debut English album by South Korean pop star BoA! Meisha, you ask me, have you lost your mind? Nay, I reply, it is not I who listens to this kind of music. And so it goes. If you're into that Asian pop music thing, you're gonna love this! If you're not, well, my last download was Gossip's third album. Cheers! .BoA - BoA [MP3]
Gossip - Standing In The Way Of ControlTuesday, January 26, 2010So here's the first album in a series of requests, a request I was all too pleased to fill! Hello, Gossip! They're a three piece indie rock band from the states, fronted by a large hairy lesbian with a beyond beautiful voice. Beth Ditto has some serious southern soul, something the British were smart enough to pick up on, making them much more popular in the UK than here. You should download this immediately. :D .Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control [MP3]
An Horse - Rearrange BedsI discovered this band recently when they opened up for Tegan and Sara. They're a cute Australian two piece indie band, which Sara Quin refers to as "her favourite band". They're delightful and polite, while singing songs like "Scared As Fuck". Excellent! .An Horse - Rearrange Beds [MP3]
Tegan and Sara - SainthoodLike the bad person that I am, I've barely listened to this album. :O Having said that, all the new songs sounded wonderful and amazing when I saw them about a week and a half ago. London also swears by it, saying it's better than The Con! And I love The Con. He said, as has Tegan and Sara, that it's significantly more upbeat than their previous album. In addition, three of the songs were written with Hunter Burgan, of AFI fame. Cool! .Tegan and Sara - Sainthood [MP3]
Demetri Martin - These Are JokesSo goddamn funny. "Every fight is a food fight. When you're a cannibal." "A musical is a lot like a burlap sack. I would not want to be in either." "If I ever saw an amputee being hanged, I would just yell out letters." I feel I should mention that this is Apocalypse: Music's second comedy album upload ever. The first was Mitch Hedberg. If you have a sense of humour, download this. Download the Mitch Hedberg album too. :D ***EDIT: Fucking record labels pissing all over my pirate fun. If you want to purchase this album, links are below.

Nirvana - UnpluggedMonday, January 25, 2010 A great version to some classic Nirvana songs and even some special ones thrown in there. It's a great sounding live CD. everything's perfect, you couldn't ask for more. About a Girl Come As You Are Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam The Man Who Sold the World Pennyroyal Tea Dumb Polly On a Plain Something in the Way Plateau
Oh Me Lake of Fire All Apologies Where Did You Sleep Last Night File Dump #10Saturday, January 23, 2010So this file dump definitely has a theme! That theme is Glee Defying Gravity, of course. I have here Chris Colfer and Lea Michele's solo versions of the song as well as their duet. I also threw in the original Wicked OBC version for good measure. This song is fantastic. What I like about Chris Colfer's solo version is that in it he hits that stupid note he didn't hit on the show. I was sooo sad when he lost the diva-off. ANYWAYS. Glee! And Wicked! Enjoy! Kristin Chenoweth - Let Yourself Go
I love this album. Chenoweth is the current reigning queen of Broadway. And this album is just spectacular, as it is chock full of classic show tunes. There are a few originals, but at the end of the day If You Hadn't But You Did rules them all. Also Jason Alexander sings a duet with her, and thats hilarious, because he was on Seinfeld. .Kristin Chenoweth - Let Yourself Go [MP3]
