Protest The Hero - Sequoia Throne Remix EP

Saturday, May 9, 2009

Holy shit on a stick! I finally got this up here! This is the Sequoia Throne Remix Ep (as the title would suggest HAHAHA =_=) and it is only available on iTunes. But hey. Fuck iTunes. I haven't found this anywhere else on the internetz so lets just say that A:M rocks balls. All the remixes are hella good, but the first one is particularily hella good. So enjoy that. Also metal nerdoids, take heed: Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad did the third remix on this nifty little EP. So dig that, yo. Also the album art is a tad weird. It's more yellowish, but this was the best quality picshurr I could find.

Just download it right now, and then go buy it tomorrow. Even if you've never heard them before. It's available via Megaupload, and the link is in the title or below. Yanno. Like always.

File Dump #1

Friday, August 15, 2008

So here are four tracks I have kicking on my computer that I want to put up but can't upload any other way than this. Lots of Rody Walker/Protest The Hero here, as well as a Family Force 5 track.

1. Family Force Five- Color Of Water [MP3]

  • This song was on the advance copies of Business Up Front/Party In The Back, but they cut it because the label only wanted 12 songs on the cd and the band figured it wasnt good enough to be on the disc. It's lots of fun though, but I can't see it fitting on that album.
2. Chad Michael Stewart- This Love (featuring Rody Walker) [M4A]
  • This song is beautiful and amazing, and it's definitely cool hearing Rody singing about something other than politics, cigarettes, or dragons. For those who don't know, Chad Michael Stewart used to be in Machete Avenue, and is now doing a solo thing. Anyways, the reason this stupid file is in M4A is because thats how it downloaded off of Myspace. So got beef, bring it up with them. If you can play this file, check er out. It's incredible.
3. Protest The Hero- Sequoia Throne (Instrumental) [MP3]
  • This is just an instrumental version of the song Sequoia Throne off of Protest The Hero's album, Fortress. Also, it was a b-side on the Sequoia Throne single, but when I downloaded it the single was incomplete, so I didn't upload it as a single. Anyways, this song is STILL badass, minus the vocal stylings of Rody.
4. Protest The Hero- Bloodmeat (Instrumental) [MP3]
  • Another instrumental song, this time of Bloodmeat, also off of Fortress. It was also a b-side on the Sequoia Throne single. Very wonderful. Download both of these instrumentals. Especially if you love Protest The Hero.

Protest The Hero- A Calculated Use Of Sound EP

Sunday, August 3, 2008

So this is Protest's first EP. Back before they were the band they are now. So yeah, pre-singing lessons. It's very political. If you like Protest and you can't find this, because it is a pain to locate, then here you go. If you've never heard them before, I strongly encourage you start with Fortress or Kezia... and not this album. Link to download via Megaupload in title or below.
  1. Red Stars Over The Battle Of The Cowshed
  2. An Apathetic New World
  3. These Colours Don't Run
  4. Fear And Loathing In Laramie
  5. Led Astray
  6. I Am Dmitri Karamazov And The World Is My Father
