So this is Anthony Green's debut solo album, Avalon, which is going to be released on Tuesday. So yes this is a leak. A beautiful, amazing leak. It's so good, and everyone should go and buy it Tuesday. Don't know really what to say... it was recorded with Anthony's friends in Good Old War, in Avalon, New Jersey. Ultra amazing. I don't even know what to write about this, as there isn't really anything to talk about. Well, they broke up in 2001... and their throat is that of Anthony Green's. Of course. There is like, very little melodic, haunting vocals on this..... just screaming. I'll even use the word screamo. I like it. None of the tracks have the titles on them when you play them in your player, so you'll have to type them in yourself. These files are commonly thrown around as "track 1" etc, so I was pleased to find their titles... even if at least in part (as in the case of track 2). This took me a little bit of Googling, so enjoy. Link in title or below.

Last August 6th, Circa Survive (and by Circa Survive I mean half of Circa Survive) stopped by the AOL studios and did an unplugged session that was recorded and put on the AOL site. It's boss. Summary/review:
Strip away Metro Station's affiliation with Hannah Montana (or, more specifically, her skankary,) and you're left with some similarities to most emo bands of the day: a certain liking for girls, tight pants, and a record deal they got based on their number of MySpace plays.
Here's the record. It's got some decent tracks, I don't see a lot of hits coming from it though.

Small plug here: Spreepark is an alternative/experimental, (half-gay, half-Asian) band. It describes itself as "Conceptualized sometime in the late '90s; formed while everyone was sleeping."
It happens to feature my friend The Artful Dodger Marshall Watson on vocals, bass, guitar, keyboard, drums, vibraphone, hand claps and silly hats.
Here's their first two albums. They're playing a gig here in Saskatoon sometime in the next couple months if you're interested. I'll post more info whenever I fucking feel like it.

So this is Saosin's debut release, and also happens to be their only release featuring Anthony Green on vocals. And yes at this point anyone who looks at this blog is going to be very, OMFG overkill. I get that. But download any[all] of it and you'll see what I mean. But yeah, I'm loading this up here because even though it's a small EP, it's actually the only Saosin I personally will listen to. And yes, it's actually this good. Umm. I dunno. The premier drum and bass act, this is their first full length cd I do believe. My favorite track is Slam. I just love this album. It's amazing. They're from Australia, which is neato. Also, Through The Loop uses samples from Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, and Fasten Your Seatbelt uses samples from Spiderman 2. Sweet. God I hate these write-ups. Oh, and an alternate link is in the title.

Summary/review:
Rare. Originally recorded for her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, the track Super Pop was cut and later made available exclusively online to members of ICON, Madonna's official fan club. Although the song was criticized by the media and blogosphere for it's shallow lyrics, fans hold it in higher regard than a number of her other releases. ("I Love New York" comes to mind.) Enjoy a nice song.
