Summary/review:
If you've seen The Dark Knight in theatres, (which you should, multiple times,) you'll know that it's two and a half solid hours of epic insane win. Which Hollywood veterans Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have done an amazing job of scoring. I'm in love with the Joker's theme, (the opening track “Why So Serious?”) which plays off the same two notes for 9 minutes straight, altering them to sound like knives and other such scary stuff, forecasting the Joker's arrival. The track wouldn't sound out of place on a Nine Inch Nails record. Other than that, the score is just incredible, very progressive, although some of the later tracks slip into a more conventional sound of film soundtracks, a la Batman Begins.
