Basshunter - Now You're Gone (2008)

Summary/review:
"Now You're Gone: The Album" is the first major English language release from Swedish Eurodance act Basshunter. Released just last month, Now You're Gone entered the UK Albums Chart at #1. Basshunter does a good job of reworking tracks like Boten Anna ("Now You're Gone") and Dota ("All I Ever Wanted") into new songs with different subject matter than can do well in an English market. (Last time I checked, some Swedish guy singing about games was not high on Radio 1's playlist. Sorry Tyler.) Among the new English material is "Camilla," which is beaauuuuutiful. The rest of the record is pretty generic, with mediocre vocals typical of the Eurodance genre. (Basshunter differs from other Eurodance artists, however, in that he can actually mix worth shit.) Overall, it's definitely worth a listen, I'm keeping this one around.
