Summary/review:
As many of you well know, I am a shameless Disney fanatic. So here, for your listening pleasure, is the soundtrack to the darkest and most under-appreciated animated feature of all time, my personal favourite: HUNCHBACKZ. The score is by Alan Menken, (known for Disney works like Aladdin and the Little Mermaid,) with lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (who later penned the Broadway hit Wicked). It's very heavy for Disney music, to compliment the story's equally heavy (although somewhat buried) themes... i.e. Frollo being a total perv and Clopin being inexplicably creepy, at least to a 4-year-old me. Children's movie my ass. Hot liquid death pouring into the streets of Paris? Can't beat that. IMO, Disney's best soundtrack. Go. Now. Download.
